Frequently asked questions

Is Fly2Meet free to use?

Yes. Fly2Meet is completely free, with no signup required to search for a meeting city.

How does Fly2Meet find the best meeting airport?

It compares real scheduled flight arrivals from both travelers' origin airports and ranks candidate meeting airports by how closely the two arrival times sync up, plus how many flights are available on that route.

What happens if no flights arrive at the same time?

Fly2Meet shows every alternative airport with real flight overlap, ranked by best match, even when there's no perfect match at your first choice of meeting city.

Does Fly2Meet include codeshare flights?

Yes — a toggle on the search form lets you include or exclude codeshare (marketing) flights from your results.

Where does the flight data come from?

Real-time and scheduled flight data comes from Aviation Edge. Airport information (name, city, country, coordinates) comes from a standard IATA airport dataset.

Do I need to create an account?

No. Searching for a meeting city never requires an account. Signing in with Google is optional and only used to save your search history to your profile page.

What's the difference between a direct and a nonstop flight?

A nonstop flight has zero stops, gate to gate. A "direct" flight keeps the same flight number for the whole journey but can still land at an intermediate airport along the way — it's not the same guarantee as nonstop.

What am I owed if my flight is delayed or cancelled?

It depends on the cause and length of the delay, but airlines are generally required to rebook or refund you, and often owe meals, hotel accommodation, or cash compensation for delays within their control.

Can I bring a pet on a flight to meet someone?

Often yes, in the cabin for small pets or as checked/cargo for larger ones — but documentation, carrier requirements, and airline policies all need checking well before you book.
